This is a good quality instrument for the price. If you are considering to use it for professional work I would recommend it, though the CTK-5000 maybe of more interest for you, though, internally they are very much the same, even the manual is the same for both the 4000 and 5000 CTK series. Because of only very slight differences between the two, I decided upon this one, since the price difference was about 10,000yen....



I would recommend that you purchase a stand with this if you are planning to buy one.



The presets are great to start off with, but they are all adjustable and easy to configure. If you buy this in Japan, it comes with a Japanese only interface option which is it s only drawback if you can t read Japanese. The option should be made available to choose either a Japanese or English interface which is standard the world over.



I play this with Pro tools and as such the midi features are invaluable. The ability to sample sounds directly from within the machine and then being able to play back is quite a novelty.



This is a great product for the price and is suitable for anyone learning to play the keyboard or even a seasoned professional.

さすがキーボードの老舗カシオ！100曲の楽譜冊子ありのソングバンクとレッスン機能は右手、左手、伴奏に合わせて（こっちの演奏が戸惑っていると待ってくれるのが嬉しい）など、手軽に始めたい人には十分に楽しめます。一応タッチレスポンス機能というのが付いていますので音色の強弱もある程度付けられます。鍵盤の形状・大きさもピアノに近くて、結構良い感じです。音源は新開発のAHL音源。DTM等に詳しくはなく良く分らないので、あくまで個人の主観ですがピアノ等鍵盤音源に関してはかなりリアルな良い音です。



上位機種との大きな違いはメディアを使えないこと。ただし、USBと内部メモリがついていますのでCASIOのホームページ上で専用のファイル形式の新しい曲を入れることが出来たりしますし、自分の演奏を記録可能でパソコン側にメモリ管理ソフト（カシオから無料で提供されている）を入れれば普通にsmf形式での扱いが可能ですし、一般的なmidiファイルを入れることも出来ます。かなり遊べます。こんなことしたい、あんなことしたいなんて夢が膨らむ音楽ツールです。



僕はバイオリンをしているので、パソコンと接続して伴奏部分をmidiで鳴らして一人セッション（笑）したりもします。音色が綺麗なので結構満足してます。



ただし、全てのキーボードに言えますが、ある程度本格的にピアノを始めるために買うのであれば本物のピアノをおすすめします。キータッチが全然違いますしね、フォルテの感じとか。ちょっと難しい曲になると61キーではやはり足りないのだそうです…とピアノ教師の母親が申しておりました。



大人の遊び用にはもってこいの一台と言えそうです。
